TORONTO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Facedrive Inc. (“Facedrive”) (TSXV: FD), a Canadian “people-and-planet first” technology ecosystem, is thrilled to announce that its health services division Facedrive Health has developed custom contact tracing solutions, TraceSCAN Wearables (https://facedrivehealth.com/), to meet diverse industry needs are ready for the market. Furthermore, Facedrive Health has engaged in conversations with companies in several sectors, such as construction, transportation, manufacturing and hospitality, across the country and internationally, to provide solutions that complement their existing health and safety practices and industry needs as they reopen, and more employees return to the workplace.
TraceSCAN Wearables is an innovative technology combining AI-enabled mobile application along with wearables devices built on the nRF52 Bluetooth chipset, which is used by the world’s leading wearable manufacturers. Facedrive Health developed industry-specific TraceSCAN wearable technology to slow the spread of COVID-19 at the workplace through wristbands, wearable tags worn around the neck or pods that can be kept in the pocket. Each device can operate for 3 days with one full charge. Facedrive Health research team is currently working towards increasing this duration to 7 days.
Following the recent announcement dated August 25, 2020, TraceSCAN wearables have been successfully adopted by Riverside Natural Foods for COVID-19 contact tracing. To ensure employee health and safety at Canada’s leading manufacturer of healthy snacks, Facedrive Health developed wearable technology that was compatible within the food sector that doesn’t pose a food safety risk to products. TraceSCAN wearable tags are the ideal solution to prevent food contamination and while also allowing for easy adoption, as TraceSCAN tags are attachable to existing employee identification badges. These tags can also be suitable for students and contact tracing efforts for schools as they plan to reopen.
Similarly, the pilot project with Labourers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA) uses wristband wearables. Facedrive Health has developed a custom deployment process to ensure that contact tracing is done completely independent of phone use, which is well-aligned for the construction industry where phone use is often limited or completely prohibited.
Facedrive Health’s ability to provide custom wearable solutions allow for seamless adoption for businesses and their employees. As TraceSCAN Wearable products have received great interest from both private and public sectors, Facedrive Health is working with governments to investigate integration with existing contact tracing apps.
“As an innovative technology company with a people-and-planet-first business model, we believe it is Facedrive’s responsibility to contribute advanced technology solutions during times of crisis,” said Facedrive Chairman and CEO, Sayan Navaratnam. “We are extremely pleased to be working with businesses across various sectors and countries to provide custom contact tracing solutions that help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 at the workplace.”
