TORONTO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Facedrive Inc. (“Facedrive”) (TSXV: FD), a Canadian “people-and-planet first” technology ecosystem, is pleased to announce that TraceSCAN, its contact tracing platform offering custom-made hardware and software solutions to help employers navigate return-to-work processes for their workforce, has started shipping its Bluetooth wearable devices to business customers. Moreover, Facedrive is in final stages of discussions with several channel partners globally to drive adoption and implementation of the TraceSCAN products across specific geographic regions and/or sectors. Further details on these partnerships will be announced shortly.
TraceSCAN Wearables is an innovative technology combining AI-enabled mobile application and wearable devices built on the nRF52 Bluetooth chipset. The TraceSCAN wearable technology is designed to curb the spread of the pandemic at the workplace through the use of wristbands, wearable tags and pods that can be kept in the pocket, and complements existing COVID-19 prevention health and safety measures. Each TraceSCAN device has battery life of approximately 7 days with one full charge, and the TraceSCAN R&D team is currently working on completely automating the contact tracing process and increasing the battery life to 14 days. TraceSCAN has developed a custom deployment process to ensure that contact tracing is carried out independently of phone use, which is well-aligned for the multiple industries where phone use is restricted or prohibited.
Following recent announcements of several successful pilot and first stage implementation projects, as well as the growing demand across multiple sectors and geographies, TraceSCAN has now started shipping batches of wearables to participating business customers in Canada. Sectors currently served by the TraceSCAN technology include construction, manufacturing and food processing, with partnership discussions with leading hospitality, wellness, travel and education providers on the way. In order to ensure seamless adoption and support international expansion, TraceSCAN is also engaging channel partners to oversee region-based and/or sector-based sales and support of the TraceSCAN technology as the platform grows. Furthermore, the TraceSCAN team is working closely with governments to investigate integration with existing contact tracing apps to satisfy demand from both private and public sectors.
“It has been critical for us at TraceSCAN to establish reliable supply chains and start the deliveries of the wearable devices to our customers as soon as possible. We are extremely happy to announce that the first batches have been shipped and implemented at their respective locations. Our team is working hard to further improve logistics and customer service pertaining to the full cycle of the TraceSCAN experience with the help of dedicated channel partners,” said Facedrive Chairman and CEO, Sayan Navaratnam. “Timely deployment and immaculate user experience are our priorities as TraceSCAN continues its mission to equip individuals, businesses, and communities with an effective contact-tracing tool in anticipation of a possible second wave and to support employers’ efforts of instituting adequate return-to-work protocol,” added Navaratnam.
